SWB Yankees cut magic number to 8

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees scored three runs in the sixth inning to rally for a 4-2 victory over the Buffalo Bisons in an International League game Wednesday.

The Yankees used their 30th come-from-behind win of the season to lower their magic number for clinching the IL North Division title to eight.

Zach Wheeler (0-2) held the Yankees without a hit into th fourth inning.

Preston Claiborne (3-0) earned the win relief. Justin Thomas started, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits while striking out four in 5 1/3 innings.

Chris Dickerson doubled and scored the tying run on a single by Corban Joseph, who scored the winning run on a groundout by Brandon Laird.
